By admin • Feb 28th, 2008 • Category: Sharings from the Exco

Dear brothers and sisters,

here’s a shortened version of the worship and prayer we had this afternoon.
Please spend some time reading through, just read the highlighted verses (if you don’t have time).
Also, we encourage you to spend 5 mins praying over the prayer pointers at the bottom.

Be blessed!
Nav Exco and staff

Father, Spirit, Jesus (The song of the redeemed)

Romans 4:7-8

Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him

Col 1:13

For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Lord, the worship we bring / Is more than songs that we sing / It’s a reflection of our ever-changing lives / The best we have to offer

We don’t just lift up our hands / Lord, we lift up our lives / For we know that You are worthy of our praise / To You our lifesong raise

Rescued from darkness / We are walking in marvelous light / for we are children of the King! / SING

You are worthy of all honor / Glory, praise and power / King of the nations / You are holy God Almighty / Clothed in brilliant majesty / Father, Spirit, Jesus

In Me

1 Cor 1:24-28

to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.

Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of us were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of this world and the despised things – and the things that are not – to nullify the things that are.

2 Cor 12:9

But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me

1 Cor 4:20

For the kingdom of god is not a matter of talk but of power

2 Tim 1:7

For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love and a sound mind.

If You ask me to leap / Out of my boat on the crashing waves / If You ask me to go / Preach to a lost world that Jesus saves

I’ll go, but I cannot go alone / ‘Cause I know I’m nothing on my own / But the power of Christ in me makes me strong / Makes me strong

‘Cause when I’m weak, You make me strong / When I’m blind, You shine your light on me / ‘Cause I’ll never get by living on my own ability / How refreshing to know that you don’t need me / How amazing to find that You want me / So I’ll stand on Your truth, and I’ll fight with Your strength / Until You bring the victory, by the power of Christ in me

If You ask me to run / And carry Your light into foreign land / If you ask me to fight / Deliver Your people from satan’s hand

To reach out with Your hands / To learn through Your eyes / To love with the love of a Savior / To feel with Your heart / and to think with Your mind / I’d give my last breath for Your glory
